Under the direction of owner Bodegas Salentein, the neighboring Bodega El Portillo puts a series of seven beautiful varietal wines on the market, all consisting of 100% of one grape variety. The result is pure quality wines full of fruit and flavor and thus a delight on the palate of every wine lover. Portillo wines are among the remarkable wines from the “New World”, partly due to the ideal growing conditions and the beautiful minerality in the Malbec grapes from which this excellent cépage wine is composed. The 68 hectares of vineyards of Bodega El Portillo are located in Valle de Uco, near Tunuyán, in a rocky area at 1100 meters altitude, at the foot of the imposing Andes mountains in the Argentine wine province of Mendoza.
